Atlas Shrugged 1957 2 Volume Set?

I recently came across a 2 volume set of Atlas Shrugged printed by Random House in 1957. Can anyone shed some light on this edition? I've had no luck researching it's history. I've never seen AS in a 2 volume set.

have seen the 2 volume edition on ebay. Believe it was from a book of the month club.
