Gold in faeces 'worth millions'

I spent a few years in hardrock and open pit mining for metals. I just don't see those old 'hard minded', 'tough as nails' miners wanting to rush to this new 'find'. It kind of paints an entirely new picture of prospectors, doesn't it.

I worked with a couple of guys just a few years ago looking into extracting rare earth minerals from drilling mud used in oil/gas well drilling. There were some really interesting results.
