now I won't speak to Obama's recent immigration rules which allow immigrants to get tax credits goin back 3 years, but the argument that immigrants get a 5 year tax break on their businesses is a canard. not true. now-whether or not some report anything is another story, but there is no special program that exempts immigrant owned businesses from taxes on their profits. If you look on one of those fact checking sites they show how this myth has been perpetuated going back to the 60s and often it is one group of immigrants who perpetuate it against another group of immigrants. I also tried to search for any tax code which might be something close, all I could find was a conservative website that made claims with no citation. If you can find anything, please let us know, because any validation of this is important for people to know if it really is happening

It is the USVI, specifically St Thomas. Last I checked, the BVI did not allow non-belongers to own property or businesses. In fact, outsiders can't even get a job unless they can show that there are no belongers capable of doing the work.
