Each hive will still need to be inspected weekly to 1) ensure that the queen is still alive 2) the hive is not infected with "foulbrood" 3) the hive is not showing signs of swarming (flying off)
This weekly inspection requires suit, smoke, opening the hive, and removing each frame.
