Last night, we attended a meeting of the Texas Electronic Privacy Coalition, www.txepc.org. (Includes Texans for Accountable Government, the EFF, ACLU, and Restore the 4th, and others.) They are lobbying for a bill to require warrants for electronic eavesdropping. They have a hand-out in two versions. The one given to Democrat law-makers has Edward Snowden and racial profiling in the upper right info-box. The one given to Republicans has this:
"The Obama Administration consistently opposes stronger protections against warrantless surveillance."
"The Obama Administration consistently opposes stronger protections against warrantless surveillance."
Why did they think this issue wasn't bilateral?
