And since the gov't is "paying for the schooling" they will have every "right" to dictate the curriculum.

  Unfortunately, your right Robbie. That which is subsidized can be controlled. Government schools don't allow for any "out of the box" thinking and innovation in education. And so the United States population, as a whole, continues to get dumber and dumber.

    It's frightening how much they don't understand, or care to notice. Public schools are indoctrination tanks...and now they want to add a couple of more years of 'free' schooling to the program? They keep throwing money at schools and it's a total waste. Not to mention the 10' high fences they're putting around all the schools in my area in the name of safety. The schools are now cages. Millions of dollars...gone.

        It's sick and occasionally I run into these people. It's amazing how entitled they are! I really can't take people who think like that. They think they are owed something simply because they exist. Get off your butt and make the life you want! It remind me of the quote from John Galt: “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.”
