Unless something is too heavy for Fed-X and UPS or we need to see it hands on before buying we use the Net.
One qualifier in our case is that most of the Big-box stores are one to two hours away.
That BTW also has us free from the noise smell and unsightliness of contemporary civilization. Our place could be described as Gulch-lite.”

We had a custom handmade furniture shop in the East Village and I was in listed the Manhattan book as Peter Asher, Designer. I would frequently get calls from teeny boppers who would not believe that I was not him. (Designer producer, rock star, whatever; right?)
One night, I got a call from a gal who said she “wanted to talk to me again about cutting the record and would I come out to New Jersey and ----- her.”
It's not about politicians. Most of us would not want politicians to issue a directive stopping firing people from old jobs, hiring people into new jobs, etc.
able-bodied u.s. citizens who are currently out-of-work,
most from the fascistic and welfare-state actions by
the current "leadership" -- in my view. . and, of course,
I do not want a fascistic directive attempting to
control hiring and firing.
