    1) up goes the price of education again following the model of medical care.
    2) fedgov gets more control of community college curriculum. QED No more dangerous graduates who can think.
    and, yes, buying votes of brainwashed graduates.

    "Government gave me everything, even paid for my education, but I still have no job or way to survive. Still I have food stamps. Where would I be without the government to save me and keep me safe. "

    With generous Pell grants low-income students already get a free or nearly free community college education if they pursue it. This is a red-herring.

      This would pertain to all income levels. So trying to buy off the "middle class" as well - and this is more likely targeted at those middle class. Dangling more "freebies" in their faces - but many of them are too stupid to realize that they're paying for it in any case with higher taxes (and with lower efficiency since the gov't will suck off their share).
