I really only see one solution and that is starting over. This monster has become so big that even when they are pushed one step toward the constitution the other side takes it 2 steps away. We just keep losing ground.
Does anyone see another way? I'm listening.
The only way that it did with the colonies was being separated from the mother country. Even if a state or states attempted to disassociate from federal laws (hmm, wasn't that tried once?), on anything more than a very limited way, it would be quashed. Too much federal money (which was money that originated in the state, but was stolen without the state's involvement) is used to bribe the various states to comply with federal dictates. And the people themselves have little ability to neuter the fed gov't, since they are forcibly caused to support it (in most cases - some of us are not subject to automatic payroll tax withholding, but many are).
I do agree that it was simpler when this country broke from the British. I am not advocating nor encouraging a revolution but personally I think it is inevitable at some point in the future. It has happened in all of history and I do not believe we are immune.
Keep the government out of what you want to produce instead of the government telling you what you can produce on your land!!!

The States will have to band together. The Feds are strong. The question is; if the States band together and force the issue do they have the fortitude to start another civil war if the States demand their sovereign rights? To suppress the statists in the District of Corruption and start the long arduous process it will take State initiative on a scale not seen since the civil war.
So far, over half of the States have joined suit against O'care... we shall see what becomes of this type of action soon.
Respectfully,
O.A,
By the way the reason was Bill Russell, I forgot to mention that. Unfortunately we do not have that person available.
