We don’t know if whether or not they assigned the term ‘secular’ to anyone who just didn’t attend service weekly. Happier than who? Someone who perhaps has to work on Sunday or holidays like Christmas? The study specifically looked at the person’s ability to attend services weekly, It sounds like to me--happier are those with better work hours.
