We are all just property of the State... when/if the child's life is not saved will the state be sued for pain and suffering? No.
It is sad that we still have not been able to completely replace Chemo as a treatment. I have had several relatives shorten their lives due to chemo. They would have lived longer and more comfortably without it, but held out hope and listened to the hospital's doctors. For those that it works for it is good, but...
I suspect if we do not reduce the influence and meddling of government in medicine alternatives will be delayed and research will suffer.
