It is easy to target law enforcement by saying "they....." Sometimes the ends do justify the means. My take is for law enforcement to take a very passive role for the next year and provide minimal effort to catch bad guys or prevent bad things from happening with full transparency. All will be beyond polite with "please and thank you" their motto. When the obvious consequences occur let the "left" rise with rightous indignation and cast blame on a right wing conspiracy. After all, none of these changes occured as a result of their condemnations.
Interesting essay. Where I differ with you slightly is that you rightly point out that we elect these representatives to make decisions, and Feinstein has done that. I don't agree with the decision that she has made, but support her right to make that decision as the ranking member of the committee. I think that an honest report would have included the minority report integral with the overall report, but who confuses the left with being honest?
Otherwise, I agree with your analysis. This has not done the US any good, and will likely cause great harm. The remedy is to remove Feinstein, but given her state, that's unlikely to happen. But that's our system.
