I agree with LS, the core problem here is the Federal Reserve. They can bribe the states to do anything because they literally have infinite money.

I'm interested in looking for a bottom up solution to these kinds of problems, a way to combat this without going through the governments corrupt infrastructure. Like possibly with an influx of private companies supporting private schools to increase their competitiveness and lower their prices.

The hardest part will be meeting the ridiculous government regulations put on private schools. But that could be overcome with meeting the bare minimum. I could see it now, private schools barely pass all government standards but the students who come out Excel in life at a far greater ratio.

The only bottom up method that i think would work is if you got enough private business owners and/or boards on corporations to agree to all refuse to pay federal income, FICA and social security taxes all together all at once.

Cut of the money and everything would have to change. It took 55 men risking everything they had and and the support of 13 colonies to change the world once. Such a determined group of people willing to risk everything working together could do it again. This is the only method I have ever thought of that I think would work without simply playing into the hands of some despot grabbing power.

I'm surprised you think that would work. It's a huge risk with little chance of paying anything out. We have to find a way to align intrests so the people at the bottom profit and so do the corporations. With the method you proposed the big business leaders would be destroyed in the minds of the common man. You would Also have to convince the boards of directors and shareholders to all stop at the same time as well. Otherwise the people who withheld their money would go to jail and they would be replaced by someone with less rigid principles. Any solution should involve benefiting the majority of people.

not if they got all those that worked for them to do it with them.

No Payroll tax, no business tax nothing from any person in their business. It would take a group of business men to organize it, but at least 1/3 of the country to pull it off.

Remove the revenue and what does the fed really have left?

If Arne Duncan continues he'll have to be careful, the Shaky State is the only reliable victim he has.
He might just end up on the shelf in Dunkin Doughnuts.

Common Core ends state control of schools, what little they had left actually. With the regulations and grants, the Feds. have controlled the schools for years. Why did Reagan not abolish the Dept. of Education as he wanted - CFR. The Council On Foreign Relations, which controls all things Federal, made it clear they needed it. Why did they care about education, because the long patient march by both Dems and Republicans toward one world socialism required students be made agreeable to such a development. Those students are now voters and their kids are learning to accept that goal as well. To stop any of it requires an educated electorate, which has now been dumbed down.. This is a Federal goal, being implemented by apathetic local administrations and clueless parents. We started fighting the goals here, back when it was called Outcome Based Education, same dog, different sweater. Now it is being sold as a way to make everyone learn equally. Right!
I have seen video tapes of a math class under CC, and it is still the no right or wrong answer, it is about how you got to whatever answer you got that matters - even if it is still wrong. Some of the reading requirements border on smut, and others on propaganda. I first learned it was all over the US after joining a local group of parents who thought it was our school system. We connected with an old high school classmate, Tom DeWeese of the American Policy Center, who soon made it clear to us that this was bigger than one small town. See www.americanpolicy.org for more on this and UN Agenda 21. Tom is a huge Ayn Rand fan.
We learned that the values clarification lessons were being given, sometimes secretly, in health and English classes. They were undermining parental control, and we found them the same in Ohio, Missouri, and Ky. - it was everywhere. Columbine did not happen until a year after we viewed a public panel on TV out of Littleton, where parents and experts were concerned the kids were being stripped of values and turned away from parents. We knew it was trouble, and the rest is history. My daughter, now grown is working and homeschooling, but Common Core take in these folk too now. There is no escape, only a fight to save your child. Who was present at the roll out event as a presenter, none other than Marxist supreme Bill Ayers. Some form of this program has been in full steam since Clinton experimented with the Governor's School using much of the same methods. Around 1976, Henry Kissinger said that if the Federal government could get control of the oil, food and banks, they could accomplish one world government by 1978. People were smarter then, and they elected the candidates who opposed such an outcome. Now, the government has used the school system to create a pool of voters who don't know any better than to go along. They have also sold them on the fake evvironmental reasons for adopting UN Agenda 21, which will lead to the end of property rights, which the UN calls "unsustainable" - along with A/C and refrigeration. How many people will this put out of work, and what jobs will the products of the schools systems find?
