ok. funny story. my husband's fishing company had a show. we were based in CO, so, our ice fishing show was filmed mostly within the state. one episode was near Gunnison. we worked with the town of Gunnison to film on Blue Mesa(large fed lake outside Gunny). to much local fanfare and the town's interest in PR, they show up to do the film. this was low budget, small footprint.:) we did not ask for or need any help from the feds (this is the justification of the reg which we violated). the town nearby did not inform us we had to get a special disney permit to film. stop. all of us. aren't we supposed to own our federal parks, byways, etc.? so we were ticketed for unwilling to follow rules. the "rules" state you must pay $500 "commercial pics and filming". they do not promise a permit, they do not promise a timeframe in which to get back with you, and this is seriously COLD PLACE, FEW PEOPLE. we paid the fee, a penalty and then were denied the right to use the footage we shot. We lost thousands with no remedy. Who works for whom?

But at least they will be too stoned to care.
