Loretta Lynch should not be Attorney General

It would be a conflict of interest. She indicted Michael Grimms the only Republican representing NY (well till this month, anyway) Despite the attempt to prosecute him in the public-eye he won re-election . The Dems dropped five million fighting for that seat and still lost.
When Obama made his official announcement today, I got curious aout the history because outgoing Sen. Patrick Leahy was the only one in attendance today. .As the senate’s senior senator, Patrick Leahy is the current President pro-tempor, the third in line for the office of President. You know who is now? Charles Schumer of NY. Schumer is already suspected of instigating the IRS harassments. How easily do you think it would be to use the office of the AG to further a case against Grimms on behalf of NY democrats? How do we know that hasn’t already happened with Lynch being a known advisor to Holder? I’m not liking this at all. She can’t be allowed to serve as AG until the Grimms case is over. it’s not right.

The Speaker of the House is next in line after the Vice President. The Pro Tempore is next. I think we have to get the best of the worst. Obama is not going to nominate anyone really qualified for the job. By choosing a black woman he is setting the Republicans up for a tough choice. Either support her or look like a bunch of chauvinist racists. I agree with you Mimi but the only way to oppose her nomination is to offer a legitimate alternative and I don't know who that would be.

Third in line..yeah, I wrote that. Vice President, Speaker of the House, then third in line--Pro-Tempore. Leahy lost his seat so Schumer steps up as third in line.
Sometimes it does seem Obama should be counted as still standing in line for the job, but no. Lol.
I’m speculating this was planned. They roll her out without any democrats in attendance but the one, outgoing, senior senator, Leahy. Obama even made a comment about how the low attendance was due to it being Saturday in Washington. I’m not buying it. Why do it on Saturday, then? Lynch wasn’t on the short-list for consideration released by the WH, but they did mention there would be a few other names that would be considered. They are acting...shady so I am paying attention.

They are always acting shady. The one concern I have is that she seems to have been rather quiet most of her career. Too little is known about her. Obama definitely wants someone in that job that he can control. He needs a firewall between him and the Constitution. I doubt the Republicans will pick a fight here but a few pointed questions would be acceptable.

I think we are all in agreement that this is a trap. That is a good thing, because - for an instant - we know what they intend. A martial artist friend of mine once told me that, "When you opponent throws a feint, you must always fall for it. ALWAYS." You see, for that moment, you know what your opponent is going to do.

I am not adept at politics, but if one knew of, say, a highly qualified Asian-American female prospect for this position, one could work that angle.

Yep, this is interesting AG choice that at the get-go sets up any critics of Lynch as "chauvinist racists," as richrobinson aptly calls the sought outcome of the ploy. It is the perfect Obamanation fit for replacing a one-count "contempt of congress" criminal weasel for an attorney general.
Ah, and Lynch is appropriately named for what she tried to do to Michael Grimms. Y'all be careful how far you stick your necks out on just about anything, GOP dudes and dudettes.

I actually think Lynch is kind of interesting; she is soft-spoken and tough. She reminds me of the character that plays the captain in Law and Order. (She even looks like her) She has an impressive resume. I think if we were talking about any other president at any other time --she would be a good choice.
I don’t care what color she is. She shouldn’t be nominated while currently investigating a sitting senator. Grimms should have his day in court --first. This is a conflict of interest. Grimms isn’t on my radar to support or attack at this time. So, I’m not defending him personally at this as of yet.
ODS? Call it what you like --Obama has not shown a willingness to at least ‘learn on the job’ how to govern ethically. Instead, he has lied, patronized, and politicized every damn thing he has done. Tis is how I feel and have stated before, "Always campaigning --that one."
“This site has some of the most undercover racist comments disguised as ideology that I have ever seen”
Oh, really? Well, for future reference when I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you.

Pulling the race card = You shut up and sit down!
I forgot Grimms was the specific politician who made that threat.
I am positive I would be against any WASP manly man the Socialist-In-Chief would appoint to anything because the dude would have to be some sort of corrupt progressive that will likely add to this administration's unbelievably long scandal sheet.
At this point I think Dr. Ben Carson is the best choice for president.

mcd, why do you always come in here and try to divide people? allosaur's comments are a direct reaction to statements people make in politicizing that YOU'RE making as well. I thought her resume looked pretty impressive myself. But I am worried about politics. The last AG was full of that, purposely making cases about race and ignoring other cases-about race, which were racist. Why is that the Black Panthers were not investigated by the DOJ? People are plain tired of being called racist when they disagree with people politically. The race card is shouted so many times it's beginning to be like the boy who cried wolf. When it's right in front of you-nobody will see it, ie. "black community"? Can you just hear the outcry if white people used the vernacular "white community?"

kh, isn't it true that the Black Panthers were already found guilty but Eric Holder refused to pursue the prosecution??? Isn't it also true that the Obama administration refused to pursue ANY prosecution of blacks??? So who is the racists??? Isn't justice suppose to be blind???

You're right, it's not right, but when did the Obama regime do anything that was right? The next two years will be a constant battle with the AG to do the right thing and to not do the wrong thing.

if "every day when I wake up,I'll be thinking about the safety of the American citizens",....I thought the oath was to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. We need it protected and defended, that's how we take care of our safety!!
