Why Give the Time of Day to Anti-Atlas Whiners?

Who gives a flip what this or that anti-Atlas whining reviewer has to say? The mere act of clicking their miserable link gives them sustenance. I borrow from The Fountainhead here, Ellsworth Toohey's query to Howard Roark, "What do you think of me?" Roark answered, "I don't."

Here's a funny story; I came to know Ayn Rand through a hack piece on the Salon website. The said piece of drivel claimed that any decent woman should walk out of a gentleman's apartment if he owns a copy of Rand's work. I was intrigued by this "advice" and I made some research. Long story short, I am now here.

The point here is simple energy management; Are they whiners out of malice or ignorance? If they are by ignorance, do they have the capacity to understand if you explain Objectivism to them? Even more important; do you think it is worth your time and energy to explain them anything?

If they are just missinformed, you might take time to explain them. If not, just move away.

I am happy to help those who seek, but have neither time for nor interest in helping those who race for the zero in achieving their goal.

Gratitude for further reinforcing my resistance to Salon, whose name itself repels. Bizarre, that folks *pay* to read the online rag. Soon's Scott has the new payment options up, I'm 'o join you in a shiny new gold badge, Brother.

Wesley, never underestimate a man's ability to read through hogwash and pull out of it pearls of wisdom. As far as the Salon's editorial line goes,it is no worse than the rags sold at the check-out line at your local grocery store. Do you care spending good money to know more about Kim Kardasian? Me neither.

Don't worry about the shiny badge. As far as I am concerned, you're not a moocher, you are a scab. When you will be able to pay, I know you will join us, brother.

WARNING! ***SPOILER ALERT*** Knowing that pre-plane crash Dagny too is a scab (would need to consult my dog-eared Scott Brick scrolls for Hank's strike join date), till 10-12-12 at least I am in good company.

Great story. I remember that piece on Salon as well. How would I be able to dissuade some girls of that notion if I didn't know they might have it when walking into my apartment?

Simple; find a girl who got the proper sense of life. A woman who understand, without having her to explain it, all the values you live your life by. When you found her, put a ring to her finger as fast as you can. Trust me, I did it and it works.

See it on another example; if the lady is in the business of finding a life partner, she will ask you about the books and leave you the opportunity to explain to her what you found so interesting in this "horrible" author. If she's still storming out of your apartment after that, thank her to show her true feelings early in the relationship and move on.
