Plato's influence has clouded and dominated the thinking of far too many.
Perhaps your review was better reasoned than the book.
O.A.
I really liked the book despite its flaws and as I said it is the best overview of theoretical physics I have ever seen and I know I could not have written that section with nearly the same clarity.
I hope someday to write some articles (or even a book) on how modern physics has lost its way, focusing more on the philosophy and the early days of QM. When we lose the battle of metaphysics and epistemology in Physics then we are unlikely to win related battles in ethics and politics or even global warming, and other environmental nonsense.
How long was this book? I have such a backlog now, I hesitate to add more. I must leave room for follow ups to POJ you know! :)
