Looks like the movie will be an interesting inside perspective into the people and families that feed us. Scheduled for release in 2014.

2 or 3 years ago we had a hard freeze in early Oct. Many of the farmers hadn't gotten their spuds dug yet and lost the entire corp. A couple didn't have the crop insured and went bankrupt. I love looking at the fields of green, and last year there were several fields of yellow growing canola.

looks good. they also get lots of subsidies and overall have fared well through this recession as a whole. grew up in southern Iowa. farm life is brutal.
I said that twice today!
