Everything I've heard indicates that the shooter was on the roof of a building with a line of sight to the podium. Maybe I'm being naive, but isn't it the job of the Secret Service to secure any possible sniper position?

My conspiracy generator is working overtime over the past 15 hours; I've actually come up with two ways that the Dumbs can use this against Trump.

One, they can keep ramming the following headline down our throats: "The shooter was a Republican; even THEY don't want Trump to be president."

Two, this could be the chance Buydem needs to leave the race, citing "threats of retaliation by MAGA extremists". Nobody would ever have to expand on those threats; rather than doing their jobs and ferreting out the truth, the MSM would simply parrot what the White House says, and once again, we would look like the bad guys, even though it was our candidate who got shot.

Geez, I need to shut this generator off; maybe I need to start drinking again. (Just kidding; that ain't gonna happen, not after almost 11 years.)

But it will never be concluded as such. The minute I heard that the FBI and Congress will "investigate", "get to the bottom of this", so that "it must never happen again", I knew the truth is out of reach.

Only about two weeks ago, my wife and I were out doors in the chairs late at night talking about how this is going to go. I said "they" will get him. It is that "at all costs" thing. Don't know how, but it will be an inside job through Secret Security. My proposed mechanism was infiltrated moles in his Secret Service protection would sabotage Trump Force One and the aircraft will crash in fiery finality. But one can pose all kinds of ways. The imagination has no limits when it comes to the possible realities.

I share the sentiment of many of the older generations. It brought back old emotions I had long forgotten following the Kennedy assassination. As an 8 year old, my understanding came through not the words, but the demeanor of the adults. The palpable sense of horror crystallizing into the cascade of expressed emotions of how the world will never be the same again.

I saw it unfold live. Those moments when he was down before rising back up and signaling he was OK were horrible with waves of those old memories.
