My wife subscribes to the Sunday Times. We do the crossword puzzle. It troubles me to support the Times in any way. But...occasionally I see a headline in the opinion section--like this story arguing that the chief "existential threat" posed by A.I. is that it might revive--the author argues--the perilous delusion that capitalism can solve any of our major problems. Well, I do resist, in principle, the risk of implying that the Times should be ones news source, but, then, Ayn Rand recognized it as a great bellwether of dangerous trends and pathetic propaganda--in fact, she quoted it and cited it more than any other publication, always to attack it--so sometimes I do the same. After all, in what way do I not follow Ayn Rand's example? Thanks for the comment.
