- 4Posted by terrycan 10 years, 3 months agoA fine post. I was disappointed with Part III. My wife has not read the book. She thought Part III was the best movie of all three. Perhaps we should encourage people who have not read the book to see the movies. That may be where the market potential is. Dissing the movies only hurts us and gains us nothing.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 2Posted by hanilson 10 years, 3 months agoI agree. I think those of us who have read the book are much more critical than those who haven't. Then we can always say, "Read the book, it's even better!" :)Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by gerstj 10 years, 3 months agoIndeed, I was too, but I find myself recommending that people go to see it and then read the book. I do say that viewers should not look at ASIII like they would any other Hollywood movie and focus on the message rather than the acting.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|

- 4Posted by desimarie23 10 years, 3 months agoGreat post. I agree with most of it as well; "Whatever one’s assessment of this effort, the film and the trilogy have brought wider attention to Rand’s magnificent novel, and that is a good thing." --That statement in itself should end all the whining about the casting and production of the film. In another thread we were discussing that the movies were supposed to reach 'the others'...those that don't necessarily know the book, philosophy or Rand. The point is that the movies were completed, and they are reaching the others.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|

- 2Posted by coaldigger 10 years, 3 months agoI have been thinking that showing AS III in America is a lot like showing a Biblical film in Iran. Most of the citizens could care less about it. The established ruling class would dismiss, slander and criticize it without even seeing it. The small Christian population would attend unless they had other obligations and the ones that did go would nit-pick the minutia.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by straightlinelogic 10 years, 3 months agoThe review was somewhat harsher than mine, http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts/14..., but I think it was in the range of fair comment. The film wasn't perfect, and it is a critic's job to point out perceived flaws, as well as perceived strong points.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by j_IR1776wg 10 years, 3 months agoWhat a garbage website. The author appeared to have never created anything nor managed a large group of people toward achieving a goal nor working under the constraints of a budget. A 'paltry $5 million budget" he wrote. Why didn't he wire over $5 million to Agliaoro along with his suggestions for making ASP3 better? Instead we get his 2 cents of worthless criticism.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by hanilson 10 years, 3 months agoYou may not like the review, but The Objective Standard is a very respectable organization with very good writers, including Mr. Armstrong. You may want to read more articles before calling the entire website garbage. He had both good and bad things to say, which is fair unless you think the movie was perfect.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
