Frankly, I think that should be the way it goes throughout the entire United States: that only individuals from nations which embrace a republican form of government and the principles of a free market may own land in the United States. It's no secret that the Chinese have been buying strategically-located farmland throughout the United States so they can spy on the military.

It may already be too late. Texas is just one election cycle away from not being the Texas it thinks it is.

That's not what is happening here! Looks like some of the big liars and thieves are going to be booted out beginning with our Attorney General. He's been impeached and will go to trial after 28 August.

I'm not from Texas, but I've been impressed by Paxton's lawsuits against the Federal government's immigration policies. Can you elaborate on why he was Impeached? It seemed really hasty...

Apparently Paxton was indicted for something about 5 years ago, don't know what, but hasn't gone to trial. Recently it is reported he took funds from a donor to upgrade his mansion and had the donor give his lady friend a job. Also when 3 whistle blowers spilled the beans he fired them. Not nice! You don't fire whistle blowers. I could mention something that hasn't been mentioned but I am a widow and I live alone. I do however have protection and I am well aware of how to use it. My x2 spent 20 years in the U S Army and 21 years in the Retired Reserves...he was a Police Chief, a Lt. with the Sheriff's Dept and he made sure I was 'competent'.

P S I wouldn't bet his own wife will vote 'for' him. She is a State Senator and will serve on his Jury and he is a well published cheater! Generally Texans aren't too bothered about thievery, but
        adultery is unforgivable.

Not really. Indeed locally we expect it to be slowly shifting more republican. You see, the “Hispanic community” is quite conservative and have been discovering that the democrats are opposed to those values. This is the main reason the note Hispanic heavy areas are voting more red. It’s funny to me because the Dems going on about a “demographic change” in their favor are always the ones who don’t actually engage in dialog with local Hispanics. Otherwise they’d know it is heading the other way.

Not to say complacency is advised, merely that the media desire for that has blinded them to the reality.

Ever realize that when the media wants a “LatinX perspective” on illegal immigration they almost never talk to ones in Texas, even if the story is about it in Texas?

Since my BFF is Hispanic and my darling successful son in law is Hispanic and my precious grandchildren I'm not prejudiced. My father was a half-breed American Indian and my mother was Ashkenasi Jew. Now what did you say about Texas?

Wish that EVERY Governor in EVERY state would sign a similar law into effect. In fact make only 1 small change, make it so that no foreign entity may own any part of the US.
