I was looking at this a few weeks ago. My Dad used to draw different propellers way back when we were into boating. Your basic powerboat with an inboard/outboard V8 engine gets about 2 mpg at cruise. I don't know how the new propellers will operate at large scale on ships. They are great on drones for silence, so we can be murdered more easily...
