My wife and I read Atlas Shrugged about 2 years back and could not put the book down. All I read started my brain flowing in overtime. Remembering all the collectivism in this country. Subsidized fuel for the railroads, free school lunches, union manipulation, Yes I was young back then but why did I feel it was wrong. My parents never discussed politics around my brothers and I as we realized when we grew up. I grew up in South Texas and moved to Michigan 20 years ago. This is where you find out if you ain't Union you ain't nobody. I do not fear this rhetoric because I was born free with a conscience that my God gave me. I hope I will learn more by being a Producer hear in Galt's Gulch.
Welcome to the Gulch :) You must've moved to MI the same time we left for AZ. (21 years ago next month) The Unions have KILLED that State....and as you know, it's not getting any better. Beautiful places, especially up North, but some others are just plain Hell (Starnsville). (And don't get me started on the "free" lunch program...it's my pet project. It should be dismantled!)
