Bernie Sanders in town - teachable moment
Bernie held a marginally-attended rally in Reno yesterday to try to bolster the Dems running in NV. My son wanted to go with his leftist high school buddy. The rally was at their school gym. Ironically...I was celebrating our "Nevada Day" holiday by getting a scope mounted on my 6.5 Creedmore, instead. My son sat right in front of Bernie and recorded much of his speech on his phone. Shook Bernie's hand afterward, chatted with one of his staffers and then had a conversation with a former governor Sandoval around the corner at the yogurt shop. Since I'm his dad he was interested to see Bernie due to some odd celebrity status...not because he agrees with Bernie's politics.
I watched my son's video and pointed out a couple key points. Bernie, after being in office in DC for decades, has the balls to stand up there and complain about how bad things are and the stupid constituents lap it up, clapping and cheering. Of course, he's to blame for all that crap but too many people are too stupid to see it. I don't disagree with Bernie's premises that the middle-class is being pummeled economically. I just don't agree with the Bernie's conclusions. I'm in no position with my pocket book to help solve those problems. I give Bernie some credit (more than zero) for at least mentioning it. The worst elected offenders are those who don't even get the premises right. Those are the real disasters: AOC, Biden, Pelosi, Federman (soon to be elected). We're in trouble, folks...

This is so common, I know two people very well in that category. Not only is it automatic, unthinking, but they assume every one else has to be the same.
Ask them, Why? Is it -name an area of a big Trump success, they cannot name a single reason for the hostility, it is very deep down.
They Sell the concepts they Create as the reason to support them. It's mind boggling.
