Hating the Unvaccinated
I am one of them. Lost my father (the most vaccinated person I've ever heard of) to COVID. A week ago I boarded a full airliner, flew to another state to attend a 50-person meeting/training, dined in a few fine restaurants, and even spent one night (last Friday) in a packed bar, shoulder to shoulder with about 80 screaming bachelorettes. That was interesting! No mask the entire time. I think I may have been stupid for being so cavalier - given that 2.5 years ago I was glued to my desk learning everything about this virus that I thought was going to gut us (it did a number on us). After studying vaccines and epidemiology for a couple decades I chose not to take the vaccine for COVID - making an informed decision where I carefully weighed the risks vs. benefits. I don't fault anybody for making another choice. But...the attacks on the unjabbed are wrong on multiple levels. This piece is pretty good, I think. Hope you enjoy it.
Make no mistake. Those people share the same world view that “Good Germans” did when the stench from the ovens wafted over their homes.
Am I equating it to the Holocaust? NO! I’m saying that the same psychological state of denial that enabled that atrocity is demonstrably alive and well.
I didn’t used to be an Anti-Vaxxer. After the last two years......I am now!
