I love the video satire to "Paul Harvey's "So God Made a Farmer" radio bit called "So God Made a Liberal." It is very, very true! Liberals may be the most vile and disgusting creatures ever created.

Overman, very interesting read. I did not catch the copyright date of the guide. Was it 1947?
Completely refreshing read. and I like Rand's use of Reds. imagine how the pc-ers would swoon today!

  Yes, it was 1947! One year before the release of the book The Naked Communist. They knew what they were doing and Rand and company tried to warn everyone. It was a Pearl Harbor attack without the bombs. They didn't attack our battleships, they attacked our culture.

Hey overmanwarrior, tried to order "Tail of the Dragon" on amazon, but they don't have it in stock, not even kindle version.?.. :)

  Yeah, Amazon has been keeping up pretty well, but it has been selling out a lot there. They do have it at Barnes and Noble though.

  Sorry, there are plans for a Kindle in the future. Part of the marketing deal was for traditional books that could be stocked in stores. The actual place, Tail of the Dragon does a lot of tourist business, and actual books sell well in those kinds of places.

      Thanks, its finding a voice. It takes time and there are a lot of voices in the book market. In the end, the market determines the winners and losers, which is why I enjoy that particular business.
      
      Atlas Shrugged even with all the other work out there still half a century later dominates the literature market. In spite of political will, the free market dictates the victor. When it comes to books that holds true. When it comes to films, that industry is very much under the influence of collective desire. Books are still made and read by individuals.

        I'm glad. The Return of the Flying Tigers part of the book was actually written well before 9/11. Funny how true some of the politics came out to be and where we are today. I thought at the time that it was rather extreme science fiction. Instead it seems to be coming right off a White House memo.

        That was one of my favorites. But I am biased because I had an uncle in the WW II Flying Tigers. He was a mechanic, so he had to keep those things working with basically string and a prayer. the stories! Wild!

        I knew there was something I liked about you! Those guys were the spirit of American ingenuity. They used bubble gum to patch a tire and logs to fix landing struts. They kept those old P-40s in the air to defend China against far superior planes from Japan. The classic rag tag story of David and Goliath. You are lucky to have known one of those guys.
