No reason not to expand the death penalty, broadly. We have WAY more than enough people. Murder, rape (real forced rape, not #metoo bullshit), child molestation (who needs these people?), etc.

It would be just fantastic to see a couple of white collar crimes see the death penalty too. This ought to get some people's attention. Then government graft. Government incompetence, maybe just a prison sentence.

I think keeping someone locked up for like 30 years is STUPID. Its expensive, he (or she) will just educate other prisoners on the art of crime while in prison, and its kind of inhumane. Why not give them the option of taking the end-it-all cocktail, or being deported to some remote place (or at least OUT of our country).

/Death is so quick, and prison costs us oney to support him. Castrate him, and ship him to a prison like NC, whre he can sit and await death b firing squad after about six months.

Abuse of helpless chdlrent is inexcusable, be it in the womb, or as young children. That was the issue. Oh yeah, they are coming for the rest of us, but that is via mass extermination, either by vaccine or famine. They want 75% of US dead, Britain predicts at least 2.5 billion dead globally. Those are the ones who should end up in jail, the ringleaders of one world government.. .

Me dino used to be a corrections officer. Now I'm recalling an Inmate Charles Ash assigned to PC (a Protective Custody unit) in the Segregation section of the prison.
Segregation included a fourth of Death Row in the state of Alabama. IMO, Ash belonged there.
Ash was placed in PC because general population could not tolerate a rapist who murdered a little girl by destroying her intestines when he did his dirty deed.
In PC, Ash was always frowning at correction officers with eyes filled with resentment.
Too bad that disgusting little whiner could not be sent either back to general population or to Death Row. Same thing.
But he deserved the method of the former much more than the latter.

Filth like that should simply be buried alive in an unmarked grave. Put him in a sturdy pine box, put the box in a hole, cover it with dirt. No muss, no fuss, no appeal, listening to him plead his excuses, no more worries.

I have often proposed an intermediate solution. If death is too strong a penalty to impose (unless the child dies, in which case that's murder and definitely rates death), then why not exile to a cold region? Every U.S. military reservation in a cold region could maintain a special stockade for pedophile convict labor.

Any society that allows individuals or groups that refuse to obey that society's rules (laws) to remain in that society is doomed. Expulsion as a minimum, death, quick and sudden for outrageous acts. No 10 to 20 years processing technicalities of the law or process of conviction.
We were supposed to be guaranteed a speedy trial; that too often doesn't happen. There are those who profit from the existing mess or are actually interested in the resulting lawless an or destruction. Of course this includes zero of the instances of burning, looting, and murder of the past several years. b.l.m has become a way of life for far too many with the solution being attack the police! Just saying.....

They must have changed the law. In 1981 on IH 10 near Comfort a man fell asleep at the wheel and killed one man instantly and crippled another for life. No jail time and no compensation.

The only problem I have with the death penalty is the possibility of executing a not-guilty person by mistake. Sometimes there is mistaken identity, etc. I don't know what the facts were in this case, or how much doubt, if any, there was. But if it were proven by absolute certainty, then I would favor Stormi's solution, except that I think that a firing squad would be too good for that one.
