He threw himself between me and an 80 pound snarling attacking dog (Fred might weigh 28 pounds). When I had my hip replaced, my daughter had to pry him away from my bed. She was afraid he'd jump on me. He let's me know if there is a mailman, Amazon, or UPS person if they are male. He lets me know when a male dog or person walks along the sidewalk in front of my house. He barks until I tell him to 'shut up'! He lets me know they are female by whimpering. He wags his head from side to side when he wants to go outdoors to take care of business. I put his car leash on and he travels with me, like all the way to San Antonio. He hangs out the window when I lower it and slow down for road workers. He barks at them too. They laugh at the little dog and wave. How in the name of Heaven can this man do the things he has. It is a reported fact, a person with a pet lives longer that others. I believe this as my 85th birthday is around the corner. My Sam lived for 17 years (PUG). My Chin (Pekingnese) lived to be 12 before he escaped the house and got hit by a car. Marie had 7 puppies in my apartment so I retired her to the farm. Foxey (4 pound Chi Wow Wow Mixed) collapsed in my driveway so I gave her to my daughter after I spent a few $ at the vet getting her xrayed and examined. I have a friend who picks up injured animals along the highway and takes them to a Vet. I can't say how much he spends but he lives in a house that has a Name on 19 acres. He has a barn, a corral, and a carriage house too. My point being I can't abide anyone who would abuse an animal. My dad had a 'Come to Jesus Meeting' with an offender who poisoned my dog. The guy got a broken jaw!
