While making coffee this morning, a local weather person (God forbid I should offend anyone by naming her gender) actually made the following comment: "There's a cold front coming, and notice the temperatures behind it. They're much colder."

I just stared at the television, wondering if I really heard that. Then I remembered the wet nurse saying "Iron smelting, I think, requires high temperatures."

I wonder how many post-grad degrees she had to obtain in order to actually tell us that temperatures behind the cold front are colder than they are in front of it.
