This is simply false, which is why it's not being reported by mainstream news outlets. There's a legitimate debate about whether US should support democratic rule if it leads to gov'ts with ties to extremists. Lopez is turning this into a criticism of President Obama.

Based on this bit of poisoning-the-well, I agree with OBL. But I don't think those were really OBL's goals. I strongly agree with removing US military power from foreign lands. I think OBL wanted to increase it.
