It takes energy to make energy. The question is where do the emissions take place? I find it incredible that supposed smart people actually believe there can be 'zero emissions' from a powered vehicle.
Right. Just don't plug in when there is a brown out or power failure - especially in the Left Coast. Its not about the planet - its about control. We live in a dictatorship. At some point the peasants will get tired of this and it will get really ugly.
Answer to that or any question- Do not look at the science, or the logical process, or to sense. Look at what the law says.
Thus: -The experimental genetic modification medication is defined as a vaccine. -The UK power station (DRAX) burning megatons a year of Virginia timber is carbon free. -Australian coal shipped to then burnt in China adds to Australia's carbon emissions, not China's.
The power will be provided by unicorns running on treadmills - until PETA gets involved!
When I started in nuclear around 1976, the head of the department told me my future was secure, because it was going to be electric cars powered by nuclear plants. But the fear mongers won that round.
Even our ancestors burned wood or dung to cook and for warmth. Law of the universe - No Loss, No Gain - meaning one has to give up something (ie, pristine smokeless air) in order to gain ( ie fire for warmth or cooking).
solar panels
wind farm turbines
certain batteries
are all hazardous waste
that could change
but it takes energy to recycle
fusion power, if we can get it to work, it what we need
or solar panels in orbit
