Salut!
There is a widow of a chief petty officer on this site. Salut!
On her 100th birthday, the widow of the Navy’s first master chief petty officer in World War II visited the ship named after her late husband.

He was on a ship that picked up survivors of a sub and one youngster asked if they had a CPO named (my father's name) 'on Board this Boat'. They pulled him on board, daddy's nephew, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! Doncha love stories like this?Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
