I was playing golf near Carson City recently and when I went into the clubhouse to get a beer at the turn the place was full of a bunch of guys, probably 40 of them, all maskless, all laughing and having a great time. The people of Nevada have a lot of spirit and the state government has ben infiltrated by Marxists. That's what you're seeing... And this isn't a result of the influx of California residents. Those who have escaped California have done so as political refugees, looking to be left alone. Haven't been there for for quite some time but I bet the problems in Vegas are probably much like what we're seeing in California - lots of drugged homeless attracted by good weather and well-stocked dumpsters. I was in Sacramento a couple days ago and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Right out of Atlas Shrugged...
The violent crime rate has also exploded in Vegas. I 've never worn a mask outside & wear one only when necessary inside a business. There are businesses who don't go along with this idiocy, they don't advertise but they're here..
This seems insane to me. We didn't know much a year ago, but we've learned the disease is hard to spread outdoors. I don't get if it's neurosis, a complicated agenda, or just fear of being the one to say it's safe and risking being wrong. The national economy is strong than ever, and I thought Vegas was doing well,. Everyone thinks of the strip, but it has a great economy beyond that. It sucks that they have 8% unemployment. When will the virus paranoia end?
Vegas MSA has had one of the highest unemployment rates for over a year. The media (either side) doesn’t notice. Then again, our state is run by the Socialist Democrat Party (that’s a fact, not just a complaint). Gas is almost $4/gallon. You won’t hear any of this anywhere.
For some reason I thought NV had a strong economy. I got that idea when I went there for a business trip many years ago. Maybe things have gone down hill, or I just believed some optimistic talk from someone I met.
