We are boycotting Big Box, establishing a sustenance network of farmers and ranchers and a network of protection from outside aggression. I have first hand interaction with my pork and beef producers, honey supply, maple syrup supply, raw milk, eggs, 40 acres of heritage grains forthcoming. I will have 20 raised bed gardens this summer. Apples and pears are already bearing. We have amassed a stockpile of canning and preserving supplies and equipment. The decision on how many meat chickens for the first round shall be made this weekend. This is all within 10 months of my relocation to eastern WI.
Within the group we also have pharmacists (clinical and homeopathic) and clinicians, non-progressive educators, manufacturers and assorted business entrepreneurs.......resources!
I've begun an informal teaching format using a more lay-worded presentation of The Objectivist Ethics to clarify the metaphysical value interdependency when conflicts arise out of religious belief structure. I think the permutation will result in an objective Constitution for Man. Our mortality depends upon each other and our conservation of resources, our reverence for the land that sustains us.
