So, I've lost count of how many variants have shown up now. But, I expected that as this is a coronavirus and they are notorious for mutating. I remember early on in the pandemic when news hit that they pulled four family members out of a home in China and they each tested positive for different mutations of the virus. Yet, we trudge on with vaccines that might be somewhat effective...but likely less and less so as this is a time-dependent issue. The latest in California is the "double-mutant" model. I picture some cartoon-looking monster with that. That said - Last night the news covered several states that had each reported hundreds of people getting COVID post vaccination. That's not a surprise either. But, you'd think it'd be bigger news. Already ignored today.

Some parents in California are protesting outside of school district offices in preparation of the State folding the vaccine into the required list in the law SB277, which I expect will happen this summer. Don't be surprised if you see a PSA with The Cookie Monster or similar character encouraging the children about this.
