This is John Jones speaking...

I became aware of GGO several years ago, but did not sign up. I'm not much of a "joiner." I have no social media accounts, although I have participated in various forums over the years. Perhaps it's appropriate that I should join GGO on Ayn Rand's birthday.
Geographically, I live in Oregon, USA, about an hour south of the People's Republic of Portland. I have lived here all my adult life, after having been born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, spending my childhood in Tucson, Arizona, and my teenage years in San Diego, California. I have spent some time also living in a couple of locations in Mexico.
Professionally, I worked for several years in natural foods retail, and until recently, in commercial printing. My wife and I currently have our own business, manufacturing natural, handcrafted soap.
Politically, I am unaffiliated. I was previously a registered Libertarian, having last voted for Ron Paul in 2008. I had myself removed from the voter registry back in 2013, realizing that there was, practically speaking, no way to vote my way to more freedom.
Anyway, I am glad to be here, and look forward to sharing interesting discussions with like-minded individuals.
Cheers!
