Chris McGlade has done his homework. There is a parallel, the northern English working class never trusted one party, but they found that the other party had betrayed their trust. So a mass of those voters broke with generations of behavior to favor Conservatives over Labour.
He asks Americans to do the same and explains.

Actually, he, me, and we all, do wherever we are standing.
Here, there, and everywhere- the woke, talk diversity and respect but are censorious and dismissive, yes and even hostile and violent of anything not the flavor of the month in thought fashion.
He barely touches on corruption.
