I think it's no threat to the US. It would be great if people and countries of the world could do something to stop the atrocities. I'm leery of US acting as the primary police officer or supporting the enemies of those committing the atrocities. The world might be better off spending our tax dollars on fighting bad guys abroad, we lowered taxes. Allow people to invent new things to help people. Capitalism and science deliver the goods. Religious extremism doesn't. We're right; the extremists are wrong. Most people know that or will figure it out.
Those with a taste for history, who never really understood how Rome could have fallen as it did, take a look in the mirror and learn firsthand how those Romans felt as their world came to an end.
