My prediction: 1. Wilson will be cleared. It will be found that Wilson prevented Brown from giving him a return beat-down that could have resulted in the cop's death. Being annually qualified as a shooter for 21 years, I just flat know your shots will go all over the target if you are badly hurt and stressed out. 2. Race hustlers like Al Sharpton will then bellow blather that will throw the protesters into a frenzy. Wilson is supposed to be found guilty in their mind's eye. Just like O.J. Simpson was supposed to be acquitted despite being a double murderer, such nonsense is supposed to somehow make up for all the abuse blacks have endured in the past. 3. Ferguson will be trashed again in reaction. More lives may be lost. Maybe this will end the storm if it does not expand to other cities. 4. Michael Brown the victim photo T-shirts will continue to sell for about a year. 5. Race hustlers will go unpunished for any death or damage their braying has caused. Anyone who attempts to sue someone like Al Sharpton will be branded a racist. They will all be back to hustle the next racially-charged incident. 6. Wilson will have to hide for the rest of his life. Plastic surgery and a name change may be a good idea. Or moving to some place like Australia.
Like every other opportunity to turn a peaceful protest into some kind of race-centric riot-based media circus... Remember the "occupy" thing? Same happened there - the opportunist looters and thug-uglies saw opportunity knocking, and went and stirred up stuff, and their media puppies were hot on their tail, getting the ratings, er, story...
It will not end this nonsense, it will confirm in the minds of the race baiters that "whitey" has put the fix in and that there is no "justice" for any minority. The only thing that was done wrong by the officials here is to hide keep quiet about the extent of the Officers injuries. Even if they were minor they should have transported him to the hospital and made a big deal about the fact that he was at the hospital. Instead they said nothing and allowed the race baiters and the useful idiots in the media to announce at the beginning of every newscast that ..."we can all agree that there was excessive force" all if this with no information as to what exactly happened. Let me tell you....having been in a bunch of fights in my life, just because one assailant has no gun does not automatically mean that the use of a firearm is un-justified. I can kill someone without a firearm, anyone who has had his ass beat....and I have....can tell you a guy with no gun is NOT UNARMED!
will the looters return what they stole? will the 0 administration walk? will the officer ever live a comfortable life again in ferguson or will he have to relocate like someone in witness protection?
It's human nature to believe the first thing that you are told...and often THAT'S not the truth. It's not "justice" to lash out and destroy the lives and livelihoods of people who have done nothing to you. A wait-and-see attitude and a DOJ which weighs all the evidence first is what is needed right now in Ferguson.
Indeed, teri-amborn. Too many are in a hurry to string someone up from the nearest tree. I wish to let due process take its course and weigh all reports. It is unfortunate that this police department had not yet installed dash-cams. Much speculation and knee jerk reaction could have been avoided.
"It is unfortunate that this police department had not yet installed dash-cams. Much speculation and knee jerk reaction could have been avoided. " Might have given the useful idiots in the media a little to chew on but the race baiters like Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would not have cared. It would have all been viewed at the white mans propaganda because after all any time a white policeman kills a minority it is by definition racism for 2 reasons. 1. Original white sin...all white people have it, even ones like me from England whose grandfather never owned a slave and 2. Because the aforementioned race baiters have to make a living and cannot unless someone is squawking about race.
The sad thing is that Ferguson is just a pimple in the world scheme of things. 10 days of almost nothing but Ferguson is a sad commentary on our country and what we look like in the eyes of the world. Unfortunately, it will just keep getting worse unless there is a definite change in our government.
This will continue to happen as long as we continue to pay people to be out of work and produce illegitimate, fatherless hyper masculine children. The error is compounded when you have large free housing complexes where these sorts of people are concentrated.
From what I've heard Johnson's original story was that the cop pulled up next to them and reached out his window and tried to pull Brown into the car (??), there was a struggle and the gun went off. Um, cops don't pull up to people and try to pull them through their window. That was the first fly.
Hello LS, If this turns out to be true, do you think the looters will now return the merchandise and repair the damage? How about Nixon eating crow? I don't know how this will pan out, but so many were quick to knee jerk reactions and fanning the flames... Regards, O.A.
Of course not. Nixon is openly pandering to voters, I half expected him to start sniveling and squeak out "please don't hurt me, it's not my fault"... They only believe what they WANT to be true... no matter how many FACTS present themselves. It's all about the agenda and pay back. :(
From the Sword of Truth series: Wizards First Rule: Wizard's First Rule: People are stupid. People will believe a lie because either they WANT it to be true, or they are AFRAID it is true.
"Many" will now only hear what "they" want to hear, nothing more, nothing less, period.
If with all the information we have to date, accomplice admitting Brown attacked and came back again confronting, and the video with the background sound describing the same scenario by a real witness, then the officer has to be acquitted. If not, if he is found guilty, the black movement to a peaceful future will be set back another 20 years because of a few liars that started the controversy, and the likes of the Al Sharpton's that do not want this to come to a peaceful resolution..
I doubt this storey is true or the media would have bee nall over it, but I also find it hard to believe even a bad cop would pull someone through a window. Remember innocent till PROVEN guilty' or as a lawyer would say innocent till proven babkrupt.
Hello eddieh, It does seem odd that it has not been picked up by at least some of the MSM. However, if it were so, it is clear that many of the MSM outlets would not wish to contradict the narrative they have fostered. Time will tell. Respectfully, O.A.
The evidence being leaked out says that the officer was being attacked, that his eye socket was damaged and Brown was trying to get the officer's gun. This incident warranted no more attention than Groundhog Day. Fifteen seconds of air time nationally and two minutes locally. In the time all the nonsense has been swirlling in Ferguson, black on black crime has seen nearly a dozen black youths killed.
Of course Johnson took it all back. Because witness after witness has now come forward, to corroborate the first witness to tell a story that made sense. Which is:
Officer Wilson made the stop, just to get Brown to the sidewalk. Brown attacked Wilson then. (I learned how brutally within the last twenty-four hours.) Then Brown walked away. But Officer Wilson would be derelict in his duty if he did not run that guy in for assaulting an officer. So he drew his service weapon--maybe he had to reload it--and said, "Freeze!"
When a police officer tells you to freeze, YOU FREEZE. But Brown did not freeze. He put his hands up, all right, but said, "What, are you going to shoot me?"
Now if he had walked away, that might have drawn a single shot--into the air, for warning.
But Brown didn't walk away. He hunkered down and charged back in.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. What else was Wilson to do?
How can a country the Prez touted in 2008 as being post-racist become the racial cauldron it seems to be going into? Ideas, anyone? I'm getting to the point where I may not want to be around black people simply because if they try to hurt me or take something from me --not that they would, of course--the police would not be able to protect me because they would probably get into deep trouble. And I've never been racist!!
Well, that's easy,,, we were (once again) becoming "post-racist" so he had to fix that....
... kind of like he fixed Health Care, the Economy, and our Rights as Citizens. Not to mention closing Gitmo and keeping us out of the Middle East et. al, ad nauseum...
Like the gangsters in the 30's said... Guess the fix is in...
This is why the 2nd amendment needs to be protected so we can defend ourselves. Cops = 25 min. 357 mag. = 2500 ft/per second. Better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6
Update: More questions regarding the Ferguson- Michael Brown case. "Seven or eight African American eyewitnesses have provided testimony consistent with Wilson’s account, but none have spoken publicly out of fear for their safety, The Post’s sources said."
Hello rbunce, I concur, I am just passing along the reports for vetting. I will reserve judgement and respect the findings of our system. Police are not perfect and we have seen plenty of abuse. Respectfully, O.A.
Hello rmcd1957, Please note the ? mark in my initial comment and my additional comments. I have drawn no conclusions, only presented alternative reports. I admit that I do not know what happened (I was not there) and refuse to accept what you apparently have until the investigation and jury has made its determination. I suggest that you investigate the other related threads on this site from other contributors related to this matter. There have been multiple reports on other news outlets reporting as many as a dozen other witnesses as well as the video immediately shot at the scene of an eye witness contradicting the narrative you seem so ready to accept. As far as police brutality goes I have been consistent and denounced such actions when they are caught on tape for all to see, or proven by due process and readily admit of their existence. I take each case individually and try to find all evidence (pro and con) and weigh it accordingly.
I am in agreement with you regarding the excessive force with King and Gardner.
It has now been reported by several sources that the officer was beaten in the face and had his orbital eye socket broken, during a struggle for the officer's gun. When the stunned police officer ordered Mr. Brown to stop he is reported to have charged the officer and in the officer's condition with a busted eye socket and a 292# man charging him is it any wonder that many shots were fired? He probably thought he was missing and from the diagram released from the coroner the shots were not well placed. Would you have been happier if only one shot to the heart took the man down? Dead is dead. I have not made these reports up and I do not know of their veracity since I was not there, But, I will not rush to judgement and allow innocence until guilt is proven for both Mr. Brown and Officer Wilson. It may be that the officer was in error. Can you acknowledge the possibility that he may not have been?
The looters that hurt innocent business owners have no excuse. They hurt the cause and create apprehension, bigotry and prejudice that probably colors the perception of law enforcement as well as others.
As far as this report being "the most racist vitriol I have ever seen." Well, that is a subjective matter. Please point out the specific comments in this article that are racist in your mind. I am open minded and trying to understand. It came across my e-mail and I passed it along for vetting. Your input and perspective is appreciated and noted. I weigh all.
rmcd is a successful individual with children who have grown up to be successful and accomplished as well. Yet he is an apologist for those who choose to live in anger and resist productive living. Sharp criticism should be the order of the day-instead he apologizes. oh, and everyone is racist. he should stop apologizing for his "race" and denounce a culture for its blame mentality. See people as INDIVIDUALS. I'm so sick of the race card.
rmcd, if you spent more time on this site you would realize we spend a significant amount of time talking about the police state and brutality of police. There's probably 3-4 posts a week on incidents. What's happening in St. Louis could be peaceful protests. Instead it is drawing thugs from other communities who are opportunists for stealing others' property and damaging property. That's not anger over police brutality, that's straight up thievery. Those who are not looting who may be hugely disruptive and menacing in their "anger" are keeping law abiding citizens from leaving their houses, getting supplies and food, MEDICINE, DOCTORS appointments. What do we call that? at the least it is "without thinking" at the most it is thug and bully behavior. While the unemployment rate remains high for able bodied young men- Mr. Brown, who clearly had a bright future-he was to attend college in the fall-to throw all of that away by stealing, shows the "without thinking" going on. Why isn't there thinking? IF you are not working from 8-5 or 11-7 (plenty of jobs listed in the area for night-time low skilled labor as an entry into employment) there's plenty of time to better yourself and prospects. You can look up free courses online for almost every subject. Instead, anger rules the day. Who cares the color of those youth raised hand to mouth welfare, free education, when even so violence rules their neighborhood and the easy dissipation into drugs and drug trade. Yes, that is the fault of the police. sure is
The video of Rodney King was right; they had to taser and re-taser him and the s.o.b. still wouldn't comply.
You call him a "young man". I call him a thug. Men don't bully shopkeepers while stealing from them. Men don't attack lawmen.
"They are human they get mad and do bad things without thinking."
You're not allowed to "do bad things without thinking" any more than you're allowed to do them with thinking.
The young thug was the aggessor; anyone who attacks a cop is a greater threat to the civilian population. We will never know what property and lives were saved by those six bullets.
My only questions are; did the officer fire more than six times? If so, where'd the other shots go, and does he need more time on the range?
Four in the arm and only two in the head? None center mass? Maybe he *does* need more range time... or maybe he was rattled and disoriented from the beating he had just taken.
Um... you have GOT to be kidding. No, seriously. Where are you a plant from? Which media outlet? Or maybe... The dotgov? Maybe stirring things up and getting the media to lookie-loo? Kind of reminds me of some of the tactics adhered to by my Anarchist ex-cohorts... Skew and slam and incite. Commando tactics.
Don't tell me I know not of what I speak - for years ago, I *was* one of them. At least I have the honesty to admit it now. And have outgrown the immaturity of such tripe.
