Be nice. They are indoctrinated child-minded mush-heads obediently marching to the orders of their radical puppeteer masters.
Hey, it's "Power to the people" time, y'all. Me dino saw Mayor DeBlather-o's wife with her fist raised say that blast from the Sixties past on TV a very short time after their lockstep marching daughter got busted.
That was okay. Her proud parents were all smiles and still are. Loot, it's a hoot!

"Through school and college, in newspapers and on television, on the internet, the most often repeated theme today is that black Americans are oppressed. And white Americans are the oppressors. That is a bedrock premise, an axiom, of the philosophical worldview that dominates U.S. intellectual, educational, and communications discourse. Its name is Postmodernism."

The final straw for me, with regard to Nick Gillepsie and Reason, was when he made postmodernists out to be a nifty bunch of happy-go-lucky guys, who just want us to check our premises.

The postmodernist inversion and negation of Western Civilization is precisely why we are witnessing this primitivist tantrum.

Interesting, if you read the entry on postmodernism in the online E. Britannica, it lists ten basic positions. They are complete, in principle, rejection of all premises of the Englightenment. And the writer is to all appearances neutral.

Walter, as a rational productive being, you will be welcomed in thousands of places when you come to the same conclusion that Hank Rearden did. New York is for looters who steal from the rest of us. Let them destroy themselves. Don't provide financial support.

That's nice to know! Thanks! I live on the tip of Long Island, in Suffollk County, which is Republican, but that does not change your point about taxes. My wife is rooted in New York, includng New York City, by family, work, and cultural/political prefence. My son is in NYC, but would like to leave and not spend every cent he earns on a small apartment. If he can find a job elsewhere that suits him, I think he will leave. Then I will have to start traveling a lot more. He also is a writer and worked in marketing.

I have relatives in Manhattan that will stay there unless it goes much farther downhill and others start to leave. My aunt is 94 and lives in a retirement/medical facility there and moving her elsewhere won'y happen easily. They have had a small business there for 40 years, but it is dependent on retail sales across the US. Some of their customers are retail chains currently in poor condition at best. I wonder if they will be able to continue much longer.
