Oh...I always knew China was our enemy. I knew that when my kids were small and half the brand new toys didn't work out of the box. Total crap...
Locked into my memory is my girlfriend at the time being all wide-eyed during a recess as we stood with other kids all grim and expressing a grave concern over being nuked.
Of course, I was brought into the moment the very second the teacher's classroom phone rang and we heard that President Kennedy was in the hospital and "undergoing surgery."
