Free speech is under attack. It's time to fight back.

“An excellent film, the best I've seen on the subject of free speech. I especially like Dennis's line, 'They have to believe we are evil; otherwise they'd have to debate us.' Perfect.” - Cal Thomas, America's #1 syndicated columnist

It opens tomorrow at AMC Summit 16 in Birmingham where I was a (retired corrections officer) semi-retired security guard before I joined Wackenhut for higher pay which I later quit to make even more money guarding a Wachovia data center. Me fully retired now.
Anyhoo, the Summit is a huge ritzy outdoor mall that now has 88 pricey stores. Because of my age I got to drive one of two SUVs with green blinking lights with several more of a day crew on bikes or just walking. Used to laugh my head off when someone was spotted walking a dog on a leash (a big no-no there). That was due to all the frantic radio chatter as we all closed in to stop that dog from taking a dump. (Well, maybe you had to be there).

Well, I was thinking of seeing it before I went with a group to see it... BUT it is SOLD OUT - in BOSTON!
I'm guessing someone did a group sale, got the whole theater. VERY GOOD!

Glad to see a post updating this. It is in 2 theaters in Massachusetts, not in NH. I would recommend the CineMagic theater in Hooksett NH - Atlas Shrugged and Little Pink House showed there.
I had seen a rough cut of it at CPAC - it's a good movie. I am trying to get members of three groups to go to it in Boston on Sunday.
Recommendations for promoting - College Republicans or YAF/YAL/SFL.

Conservative movies - SEE IT THE FIRST WEEK/WEEKEND.
    1) It supports the movie, increases numbers and hence keeps it in theaters
    2) If #1 does NOT happen, it may not be in a theater the second week.
    ENJOY!

Thanks for the post! I'd forgotten that this movie makes its wide(r)spread opening this weekend.

This comment isn't meant to be insulting, but if the original list of cities and theaters didn't include where you are, keep checking the list via the link provided in the post.

Originally, Indiana wasn't even on the list. In fact, the nearest city to Indianapolis where this film would be shown was Asheville, NC, an eight hour drive.

But I just looked, and it opens tomorrow (12/6) in three Indiana theaters, including two here in Indianapolis.

So keep checking, and make sure you click the "demand" button on the theater link.

Saw this last night. I liked it. It's pretty well done. When we left the theater, my buddy (who's a little left of center) said he was confused in that they didn't tie it all together at the end - kind of left it unsolved as to why this is happening. So, I spent some time talking with him in the parking lot about the history of collectivism, communism, etc. And, I agree that they could have added 10 to 15 minutes explaining this stuff - maybe mentioning "Rules for Radicals".

I just checked the theatres by me, Harkins and Mary Fisher Art theatre here in Sedona Az no listing. It looks like it will be in the AMC theatres. Watching the trailer made me feel quite angry. Maybe a Civil War in the US will break their young fragile minds.

There's one theater showing it in Gilbert, AZ (east of Phoenix). I won't be going--I never pay theater prices to watch movies--but I'll be sure to rent it when it hits Redbox.

I hope this is part of a larger backlash against the notion of a "right" not even to have to hear offensive ideas. I'm amazed at how fast the notion of space spaces appeared. Five years ago I thought it was just a phrase, something only opposed by people who desired to engage in harassment, like getting in people faces. In the past five years I've seen several instances since then of people, usually born after 1990, who honestly feel there's a human right not to hear ideas that disturb you. I think this is a really bad trend. I hope this film and the interest in "grit" is the pendulum swinging back.
