Unfortunately the reporting of this article is wrong.Def, Sec, Hagel went, and the information about Bush and Nixon’s past attendances at a military funeral are erroneous. I just learned this http://washingtonexaminer.com/twitter-ob... I still stand by it’s better that he didn’t go. He wasn’t needed. I still feel sick to my stomach when I think of him standing over Ambassador Stevens body talking about a video.
"In a news report, a reporter for CNNABCCBSMSNBC asked the daughter about the President not being at the funeral of her father at Arlington National Cemetery. In a soft voice she said, "That useless empty suit has no reason to be with honorable men, having no honor or class himself. The worthless pimple on the butt of politics in the United States was not welcome and I'm glad he had more pressing State matters with which to deal, you know, golf." The reporter fainted.
No President, no VP, not even the Secretary of Defense attended the funeral. This man is the highest officer to be killed in "battle" since Vietnam. Absolutely disgraceful. Whether you believe in the mission or not, this man was asked by the country to go and do this mission, he was killed doing it. He deserves our respect and honor.
I consider it a disgrace that the President did not attend this funeral. It goes to show his disdain for the military. I have always said watch his actions and not his words.
Yes, the Golfer-In-Chief has no class but I would not want him or Bozo Biden anywhere around something that personal, especially if a speech was to be made. I feel my stomach turn whenever I see Obama hang the Medal Of Honor on a real hero.
Someone probably told him that it would be improper to grandstand or promote a race-based agenda at such an event... and since that is the one thing he knows how to do, he decided it would be much better to spend his time with the president of the World Bank.
my usaf retirement doc is signed by slick willie. we do not hang things like that on the wall. this family deserved privacy from our president and vp, and I am actually glad that they got it. -- j
That's very thoughtful of Obama, to stay away from the funeral of a 2-star general. Who wants him there taking the spotlight, anyway?
Not meaning to be a jerk, but if the general had been true to his oath, he wouldn't have been killed in Iraq. Because he can't take deployment orders from someone not in the TOC like Obama isn't.

p.s. and. of course, we understand your view of the birth certificate.
Obeying Obama's orders would be violating his oath as an officer.
Only one man in my memory had the courage of his convictions to keep to his oath:

I'm equally certain John Galt would prefer the issue seldom if ever had to come up.
