Perfect example of collectivism and altruism from the right and left!

As far as voting goes - I tend to vote Republican. The left is full bore bent on socialism outright and many happy with outright communism. At least the Republicans are generally against all that. Although, I am not religious, so that has been a big point of contention where I don't truly fit Republicans either. Too many of them are too left leaning as well - RINOs.

Anyway, this one really irritates me as this is the "pot calling the kettle black" when Shelly Moore Capito (R-WV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY) are working with Joe Manchin (D-WV) to bail out pension and health insurance coverage for coal miners in the region. Redistribution of wealth, collectivists, altruist BS - that both the R's say they are against - until it is for one of their pet projects!

First they pass laws to bankrupt the coal companies; then they bankrupt the rest of us to buy the votes of the workers they put out of work.
The so-called right (GOP) is actually left (aka wrong.)

Yep, it's BS. The leftists made the effort (Obama and his cronies) to try to kill coal - and this group is trying to bail them out - but it is not the place of the government to be bailing people out like this - especially at our expense. I sent Capito a message about this too as she is one of my representatives. Most of these miners get paid more than I do - and between me and my wife we pay a pretty good chunk in income taxes (net - beside payroll taxes, sales tax, etc...). We bought a cheap house that needed a lot of repair work because that is what we could afford - and then to have our stolen tax money taken to bail out people that make more is a slap in the face. I am very sympathetic to their issue. That is the lesson to learn when government gets involved. Most of these people are also big union which constantly support government intervention. Could be a good lesson in life when considering dealing with unions that like cozening up to politicians and government for favors. But it is not my responsibility. It's a vote buy is all it comes down to - or sympathy without concern for principles.
