Walmart doesn't like OPEN CARRY?

WHY THE HELL NOT?

Dear Walmart.

I must question the wizdumb of your thinking on this subject.

Neither the weapons or ammunition used was purchased at your outlets.

Had there been a dozen, or more OPEN CARRY Citizens, the shooter would have ducked his head and LEFT THE BUILDING!

At this point in time, it is a CHALLENGE TO GET THE HIGHEST KILL COUNT.

Same as any video game. only REAL LIFE WITH 'REALLY DEAD' PEOPLE.

INVITE OPEN and Concealed carry in ALL OF YOUR STORES and you will NEVER have another shooting.

It's a RISK to the shooters, and HIGH RISK stores are not conducive to high body counts.

IT'S CALLED LOGIC, and also known as COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS!

Are they going full woke and posting "Gun Free Zone" signs on every store? If they do they become more likely targets for the crazies since odds of resistance have been significantly reduced.

I wrote to a lot of Home Offices, as well as giving copies to the local store management the dangers of posting signs.

By ACTIVELY DENYING Citizens their RIGHT to Defend themselves and other shoppers, the Business ASSUMES FULL LIABILITY for the safety of ALL customers AND EMPLOYEES.

Another example of why if you want to carry you should get a concealed carry permit. If you have a permit, posted or not, the most they can do is ask you to leave. Those signs have no legal force.

          They don't.

But the spectacle of a Walmart security guard escorting you to the exit is not something you want.

I would be a local LEO doing the escorting, not a Wal-Mart employee.

Only if the LEO knows the applicable laws, the Wal-Mart employee likely will not.

In this climate people are so quick to take offense not using a LEO to escort someone out would be a very bad choice.

Especially since carrying is legal. Concealed with a permit certainly is, and open in a state that allows it is as well. For instance, where I live in NH the only place a permitted civilian is prohibited from carrying by law is a courthouse. Naturally certain other places can give an unpleasant experience sometimes, like a
Police Station could be ... tense.

The general populace doesn't pay enough attention to know 1) that anyone is being escorted out, or if they do, 2) to notice the difference between LEO and WM employee. People as a whole are SERIOUSLY lacking in situational awareness.

But either way, I am not sure I really care about whether others see it or not. My family and I only carry legally, and concealed (keep 'em guessing). And not every state requires a CCW, but I agree it's good to have if available.

Me dino never bought so much as a bullet from Wallyworld but I've concealed carried in there with a spare clip for years.
If Wallyworld ever completely goes to a gun free zone, I'll treat it like I do the "gun free zone" of the credit union where I've been a customer at for over a quarter of a century.
    I'll still conceal carry.

If for some reason I need a cop now it takes 20-30 minutes for one to get here as it is. If the cops are tasked with escorting legal gun toting shoppers out of Walmart stores then it will be an hour or more to get a cop here. Yup! We need more cops that no one wants to pay the taxes for.

Does it matter if the weapons or ammo were purchased at Walmart? Isn't common sense gun laws a floating concept, one that has no specific meaning?
