Has anyone seen Denish Dsouza's America movie? The movie is fabulous, I can hardly wait for DVD, so I can watch it about 10 more times. DSouza is truly an American hero, for making it.
You know Obama is trying to have him thrown in jail, for donating a bit much to the Republicans. It seems like the liberal movie star idiots give all kinds of money to the Obama and Hillary people, but DSouza was not allowed to give over $10,000.00.
I guess I don't understand the donation rules.

Yeah, I did see it, read the book too, excellent piece of work. The fact that he is an immigrant led more credibility to his viewpoints as well since he didn't have pre-conceived opinions of historical fact, rather, he did his homework.

It's not the first book by an immigrant with credibility who knows the difference between freedom and serfdom, and what kinds of ideas lead to each. It was made into a movie, too. Atlas Shrugged.

The donation rules were written by John McLame and Ted Kennedy to keep people we might consider voting for out. Rules like that are written so that the Henry Reardens of the world can be tripped up, compromised, etc.

"We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them...you create a nation of lawbreakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Rearden." - Floyd Ferris

He can donate an unlimited amount to PACs though, the donation limits are only for a specific candidate / campaign.

You can also give the limit to each candidate you support (more effective i would argue).

Unfortunately, the way the PACs work is to help re-elect their friends such as what happened with the Thad Cochran (Cockroach?) in Mississippi debacle a month ago.

Besides the movie itself, the thing that is impressing me is that it is playing to big audiences. The last D'Souza film played at our local multiplex for about a week. This one is till playing to strong audiences.

Looking forward to the DVD. I enjoyed his previous movie, "2016". Made several trips to the theater in an attempt to influence several acquaintances and family members to the danger of Obama. I know live in a secluded area and trips to the cinema are rare. I do have his book of the same name but been too busy to read.

Since when can I not spend my money in any way I want to? I know about the debacle that McClain and Mr Chappaquiddick passed but it's just another example of congress sticking their noses into our business. Once again I call for an all out strike by producers. All of the small businesses of America shut down for 6 weeks with a list of demands preferably before the November election and we will see where we stand as a country. I think that it is possible that some of the big boys might join in.
