I Lost Someone Important to Us Yesterday

Paul Richards, db's and my brother-in-law passed away unexpectedly yesterday morning in Colorado Springs. He was a popular radio personality in the Springs for almost 30 years. Why I am posting this in the Gulch, is that he was the Movies' greatest fan. He sponsored a ASIII premiere in Colorado Springs, interviewing people who attended the showing, including Michelle Malkin. Our hearts are heavy right now, but I wanted you to know what a great fan he was of the movies and their mission and goals accomplished of bringing thousands to Ayn Rand's novel and other works. Goodbye, dear brother.

from Michelle Malkin: "Paul was a wonderful and talented broadcaster and such a warm, engaging man. I greatly enjoyed our interactions on and off the air. His passion for life, freedom, and the American Dream shined. The community of Colorado Springs will not be the same without him."

"He cared a great deal about what he did. He was very big into accuracy, wanting to make sure that we got it not only first, but that we had to get it right, then we wanted to get it first. So he cared about his job, he cared about the news."

    A great tribute.

May this sad and tragic loss inspire you and db to pursue your goals with an even greater enthusiasm. The past is history. The future, although we can control it to some extent, is a mystery. Today is all we have.
