Price of gas over 5.00 a gallon in California, and still they cheer for Obama.

Obama went to Hollywood this weekend, to collect more donations against America.
Obama and his Hollywood minions remind me of that scene from "Animal Farm", when all the pigs were in the kitchen partying and laughing at all the animals starving and freezing outside, while all the animals watched through the kitchen window.

    Hello crystalquartz,

I am glad you decided to stick around. California is quickly becoming a lost cause. “Animal Farm’ is not just a book many of us were required to read in Junior high. It is a book that should be read/ re-read with adult eyes.
The idealism of youth sometimes shields one from the recognition of the implications and social nuances.
    Regards,
    O.A.

California is a real problem, and the question will come up soon about a real tax payer bail-out. They are functioning from the wrong philosophy of living, and no amount of tax money, or altruism can fix it. But they expect money to fix their flaws, which it never can.

I would have stopped thinking about California years ago except for this feeling I have that soon the entire country will be burdened with bailing them out. Electing Jerry Brown was a clear indication that they are incapable of reforming or even of self-analysis. The California political establishment is the most destructive force in terms of wealth destruction since Hitler on this planet. Overmanwarrior is correct. They will not stop until they tear each other apart over the carcass of the once great state economy.

Good point. I am certainly guilty of the "Rearden Complex"--not being able to not think productively. The only solution is to cut them all off, let them protest and pick each other apart for the scraps that are remaining. But it just doesn't compute in my head.

Why not? Our current situation is not perfect but the alternative would end their opportunity to get something for nothing.

Great reference, 'Animal Farm,' and you're right about cheering for Obama. They are about as witty about there situation as Greece, or Spain--or France. All socialists.
