World War 1 was, like, bad, man.
The aliens came down in asteroids and wiped most of us out.
Then Tom Cruise and the common cold killed their asses.
It was cool.

damn! not my area. well, I meet 2 of the 3 requirements, eventually all 3 will match up.

Yeah, I got into that era about 12 years ago and read much about it. I was mainly interested in the vast changes that industry was making in order to meet the ever-changing demands the various gov'ts were making as well as the changing tactics over the use of technology ~ from the design & structure of airplanes & the airframes, to vehicles and tanks to communication (use of radio & pigeons).

If a company didn't have anything to do with the war, their production methods & way of doing business in general became quickly outdated & thus out of business. Deeply fascinating and tragic. It was financed (all opposing sides) by the Rothschild's, Warburgs of Europe and partially funded by J.P. Morgan and John D. Rockefeller Sr of the USA. Why? Because they all had profits to make & political goals to achieve.

I know as much as the next guy. I am a dynamite and quick researcher. Anything else?

But really, do you think hysterical/historical facts
are going to get you across the line, aren't there enough details in Atlas Shrugged- a BLUNT scalpel was used in making the trilogy???

I'm a wannabe novelist fully retired dino currently writing a novel about what happens to a handful of characters during the Great War, primary an unruly adolescent army brat with a photographic memory her retired French general father calls "Little Red."
Still doing ongoing when specifically needed research past my first draft, I am well aware there are plenty of scholars who know more about this war than I do;.
For example, I will have to rewrite an August, 1914, scene when smoking tracer rounds guides Maxim machine gun fire at a reconnaissance aircraft during daylight.
Then it occurred to me that I should look up tracer bullets.
I learned they were invented by the British during 1915. I could not nail down a specific date for that year.
Anyway, I have to deal with enough distractions as far as ever writing a successful first novel goes.
